As a mentor and judge for the AI Hack Tunisia, one of the largest AI/ML hackathons in the region, I was impressed by the skills and motivation of the 1000 participants from 20 different nationalities, organized into 80 groups with the support of 10 partners.
The two-day event started with an individual AI/ML challenge on the first day and concluded with the startup challenge on the second day. It was a platform for participants to showcase their skills and creativity in developing AI/ML solutions for real-world industry data.
The participants were highly motivated, and their skills were impressive, making it a challenging experience for us as mentors and judges. It was an excellent opportunity for us to witness firsthand how the next generation of AI/ML experts are equipped to tackle real-world industry problems.
The energy and enthusiasm in the room were contagious, and the collaboration between participants was outstanding, with diverse perspectives and ideas coming together to create innovative solutions.
Overall, the biggest takeaway from the event was that the participants were highly motivated, skilled and equipped to handle some of the real-world industry data that they got their hands on. It was an inspiring experience that left us confident in the future of AI/ML innovation in the region.
We're excited to see what the future holds for the participants and the industry as a whole, as they continue to innovate and develop new solutions that make a difference in the world.
